The event is coordinated by East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) to foster regional integration. The theme for this year’s Inter-Parliamentary Games is “For a Progressive, Peaceful and all-inclusive EAC”. The sports disciplines include: Football, Netball, Athletics, Tug-of-War, Volleyball, Walking race, Golf, Basketball and Darts.
The Joint Planning Committee (JPC) introduced a Pre-Tournament Conference as part of the events that precede the actual sporting events.
